As the field of data science and analytics grows, there are more and more opportunities for PhDs from diverse backgrounds to capitalise on their research skills.

This session is being led by an employer with considerable experience in technical innovation and helping clients solve their problems through data analytics. They will cover the major concepts and analytical techniques they use (such as causality, correlations, time series, over-screening, classification, machine learning and neural networks) and - importantly – show how to link the data/mathematical problem back to the business question through real life cases they have worked on.
