I am a part-time PhD student and part-time veterinarian. My research is about the genetics of obesity in dogs, which is also relevant to human genetics genetic and physiological similarities, and shared environmental factors. I am particularly interested in bringing better data management standards to the veterinary field, specially in clinical research.

I am a PhD student in developmental biology in Ben Steventon’s lab. Through being part of the Data Champions network I hope to learn more about the management of data and share this understanding, as it develops, with my community. I hope to be a part of making academic research more accountable, accessible, and communal.

As the librarian at the Department of Genetics, I provide research support for students and staff in the department and more broadly across the School of Biological Sciences. I can advise on Open Research issues, as well as teaching on various research skills topics in both school- and university-wide programme
