Biography

Amelie Roper is Research Facilitator at Cambridge University Library. Her role involves supporting grant applications for research funding for library activities, and assisting with project delivery once funding is awarded.

She studied music at King’s College London and Library and Information Studies at University College London. She also holds a PhD in book history from the University of St Andrews.

Her research interests include early modern European print culture, digital music publishing and big data.

Biography

I have been managing the Chemistry Library since October 2013 and for 15 years before that I managed the University's Zoology Department library so I have experience of supporting biological and physical science researcher needs. At Chemistry I train all new postgraduate students in RDM and give advice on compliance with open access and data sharing mandates.

Biography

I have over 30 years experience of Scientific Computing. I have worked on Image analysis of Light Microscopy images, Scientific IT Support (13 years), Data-driven web applications of mathematical models and Bioinformatics Training at the Institute of Food Research (Now the Quadram Institute). I have been involved in an EU Framework Database Workshop. I strive to include good data-handling and reproducibility practices into all training materials.
