Amelie Roper is Research Facilitator at Cambridge University Library. Her role involves supporting grant applications for research funding for library activities, and assisting with project delivery once funding is awarded. 

She studied music at King’s College London and Library and Information Studies at University College London. She also holds a PhD in book history from the University of St Andrews. 

Her research interests include early modern European print culture, digital music publishing and big data.

I am a Research Associate in the Faculty of Education, working with The EdTech Hub. The project focuses upon using educational technology in low- and middle-income countries. Before joining the Faculty, I was a visiting fellow at the Institute of Educational Technology at the Open University, working primarily with the Open Education Research Hub. In addition to questions around mixed-methods data management in the Social Sciences, I am also particularly interested in open research, digital scholarship and licensing for data reuse.

As the librarian at the Department of Genetics, I provide research support for students and staff in the department and more broadly across the School of Biological Sciences. I can advise on Open Research issues, as well as teaching on various research skills topics in both school- and university-wide programme

Before joining the Engineering Library in 2017, I worked in a variety of roles around Cambridge, including supporting researchers with effective communication of their work. I currently support resource and training provision in areas including research skills, open access, reference management etc.
