Biography

Mandy Wigdorowitz is Open Research Community Manager for Cambridge University Libraries. She holds a PhD in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics from the University of Cambridge, St John's College, and is a registered Research Psychologist with a Masters in Social and Psychological Research from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is interested in the benefits of open research practices across all research disciplines and is building a community that promotes open research at Cambridge. Her research focuses on understanding language and interaction from linguistic, social, cognitive, and psychological perspectives. Mandy is also the Associate Editor for the Journal of Open Humanities Data, which publishes data papers in disciplines spanning the Humanities.

Biography

Marina has a PhD from the Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology Department at the University of Cambridge. She has previous industrial experience in R&D by working with multinational companies and start-ups. Currently, Marina is a Research Analyst at the Strategic Partnerships Office. She is responsible for research and analysis on international projects and partnerships to provide support to the Head of Public International Partnerships, the Strategic Partnerships Managers, and senior academics across the University. She is also responsible for the website development and management.

Hi I'm Michael, I was appointed the new Research Laboratory Technician within the CCMM group at the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy. I have a BSc in Chemistry and an MSc in Nanomaterials and Materials Science but what I am passionate about is computers whether that be software or hardware. I am bioinformatician who has been working in Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute since 2017. I have a background in biology and have experience with HPC, version control, R and python, and confidential data. I work with big volumes of cancer patient data on a daily basis.

Biography

I joined the Office of Scholarly Communication in November 2018 as Research Data Coordinator for the Research Data Management Facility. I manage the Data Champion Programme as part of my role. I have a PhD in Biological Anthropology from the University of Cambridge and was a Post-doctoral Research Associate at the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research from 2009–2017, specialising in human evolution and Palaeolithic archaeology.
